IMPORTANT - 2023 Announcements

We are excited to announce a few big changes coming to our barn in 2023! While some of these may be surprising, please know we have thought long and hard about this and they are necessary for us. We thank you all for being a part of the Team Yriarte family and look forward to your continued support!

  • We are working on a fantastic online learning video library that will (hopefully!) launch in early 2023!

  • Our training fees will be increasing March 1, 2023. With the increased cost of fuel and hay, plus the maintenance of our facility and cost of living, this is a necessity.

  • To help ensure we are giving as much time as possible to the horses we have in training, we will be taking no more than 8 horses (with rare exceptions) in training each month beginning March 2023. We do our best to meet our clients’ expectations and to provide the best quality of care and training possible. The slight increase in our training fee will help to make this happen. Lessons will continue to be included and encouraged for all clients with horses in training.

  • We will be scheduling ourselves at least two vacations of at least 2 weeks each next year. The dates will be made known well in advance - I’m looking for a decent calendar widget that fits our needs for the website currently! We will have the option to either take your horse home during that time and have those days they are gone taken off the monthly fee, or keep the horse with us for a reduced, board-only fee for the days we are gone.

  • We will be hosting our Obstacle Playdays monthly beginning in March 2023 (weather permitting). Each month will have a different theme (costumes encouraged!) and several rotating, themed obstacles each month. The full schedule will be posted on our website once it is completed!

  • If there is enough interest, we would like to host a few clinics as well! We are hoping to host a couple clinics next year for trainers we have learned from that are not local as well as some of our own.

We hope these changes will help us to create a better work/life balance so that we can enjoy additional time with our families and our own horses. We would both like to begin showing again and attend more clinics and events with our mentors and friends. We want to be our absolute best for you and your horse, and we look forward to working with you in 2023!

As always, if you have any questions, please contact us and we would be happy to answer them!
