About the event

The cost for this clinic is $300.

Please review our Deposit and Cancellation Policy.

There will be 8 participants per clinic.

Auditors are welcome at $25 for all or part of the clinic.

***For those who are interested in learning the basics of how to be safe around horses and getting started but do not currently own a horse, we have a limited number of horses available for use for this clinic. PLEASE let us know when registering if you want to use one of our horses so we can discuss it further with you. There will be an additional fee of $50 for this option.***

For horses, and for people, learning cannot happen when they are afraid. We firmly believe that knowledge replaces fear so the better you understand why your horse is reacting the way they are and how to help them, the more confident you will be. We believe this is the key to progress and having fun!

In this clinic:

  • This will be an in-hand clinic. There will be no riding as part of this clinic however you are welcome to ride at our property or on the miles of trails outside of the clinic hours each day.
  • We will cover the theory and principles that guide our horsemanship that we follow and believe.
  • We will be developing skills and tools to help you improve your relationship and communication with your horse.
  • We will teach you patterns and skills to give your groundwork more focus and purpose and how these skills will translate to the saddle.
  • We will be doing simulations to help you better understand the positioning, skills, rope/tool handling before you take those skills to your horses.
  • We will be problem solving and addressing issues such as trailering, tying/pulling back, lack of boundaries/running you over, or any others that may show up.

**Participation in at least ONE Safety Clinic is required

1) for any individuals who want to do a clinic but have not trained with us previously

2) for any individual before participating in Horsemanship or Refinement clinics. This is to ensure that you have a solid understanding of our program and to ensure everyone participating in those clinics are at similar levels in order to make the most progression.

** Exceptions to this requirement may be made on a case-by-case basis.**
