Education Outreach

Since 2015, we have been volunteering with the BLM Wild horse and Burro Program assisting with education outreach at local schools.

This program is a great way to add another element of learning. We will bring out a very gentle mustang the kids can pet and interact with and can tailor our discussion to what the classroom/event focus currently is such as history, careers in agriculture, land use and management, etc. The program also provides educational handouts and small freebies such as pens, pencils, silicone bracelets, stickers and more.

Are you a teacher or parent of a child that attends school in the Northern Nevada area? Would you like to have us visit your school? It's free! All it takes is an official request from your school.
We have also hosted tours of the Palomino Valley Wild Horse Facility (one of the largest in the country) for smaller groups like boy/girl scouts and 4-H clubs. Just get in touch with our friend Jeremy and he can give you all the details.
